Spoon & Heels’ Mulled Wine

A mug of mulled wine is the best way to combat a cold in winter. As soon as the temperature drops, I start craving it.

  • 7.5 dl semi-sweet red wine
  • 2 orange’s juice + 1 lemon’s juice + water = 3,75 dl
  • 100 g unrefined cane sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cloves


You squeeze the juice of two oranges and a lemon. You add water to it, to make up half the quantity of the wine. Then you pour the wine and the juices into a pot, and put it on high heat. When it’s boiling, add the sugar and the spices. Leave it shimmer on a low heat and stir a few times for the flavours to mix.
